Well, there's already a Linux credit card. A percentage of each purchase gets to open source projects that need funding. Here's the link: Linuxfund Credit Card
I read somewhere that one of the main signs of being a geek is a love of wordplay. Why then, do you put down this person who caught this interesting, shall we say "Freudian slip"?
I've noticed that sometimes Netscape will be unable to find a domain, and within the next 10 seconds it will crash. I thought it was specific to my machine, but I guess you experienced the same problem.
I remember when I had a problem with my domain, it took over 1 month to get it resolved due to Network Solutions' lack of responsiveness. This goes to show that NSI is not really overburdened, but complacent because they have no real competition. They have the resources to fix things on time - they just don't give a $#!+ because "where are you going to go?"...
I have also had a horrible experience with Network Soltuions. My old web host was not meeting my expectations, so I decided to use another web host. I submitted the paperwork to Network Soltuions at the beginning of a month. Since I was busy with school, etc I didn't have time to contact them for a while. At the end of that month I still had not heard anything back. I wrote to their "customer support" staff and had did not heard anything back for 2 weeks. Then I submitted the transfer paperwork again and it got done in 2 weeks. The transfer was done in accordance with my second request (I know because of the "issue tracking number" they give you when you submit a request.) To this day I have not heard back from either customer support or my first request to have the domain transferred. You would think that a company that provides service like this would have had action taken against it a long long time ago.
Speaking of cops, this should do wonders for speeders trying to avoid tickets, since when cops hide, they always have their engines running. This should make it easy to spot them a nice long way off - even before a radar detector would warn you. Of course, unless you are on the highway, you might get a lot of false alarms from patrons in store parking lots, etc...
I am about to graduate from DeVry in 2 weeks and I can tell any geek out there that if you do this, it will be the biggest waste of 2 years of your life. Only one professor I have had has had any sort of idea about the information he was teaching. Job placement assitance is definitely there and if that's all you are after, then fine. But if you really want to learn, go to a real college. I hear UC Berkley is one of the top for CS. Check out this page with some guy's experience at DeVry: DeVry Sucks

Hmmm... Just got this thought: Could enough reports to the Better Business Bureau Online possibly do anything?
