  1. Solaris 10 on EDS: Linux is Insecure, Unscalable · · Score: 1
"If you test Red Hat against Solaris 10 against whatever else... we would say that Solaris 10 beats it hands down on functionality and everything else," said Hassell.

I want some of whatever this guy is smoking. We evaluated Solaris 10 and like previous versions it's a steaming pile of shit. The only thing it does well is make a high end Xeon run like a P2/400, kind of like Windows.

  2. Just like UnixWare... on Novell to Make Linux Robust and Reliable · · Score: 1

Just like they did when they formed Univel and coughed up UnixWare (before SCO picked it up). They took a perfectly good SVR4 Unix platform and hacked in hooks to make it talk to Netware. Talk about a buggy piece of shit... I can see it now: Linuvel LinuxWare!

  3. Re:Hopefully, it is faster... on Snag the Red Hat 9 ISOs, via Cash or BitTorrent · · Score: 1

14k/sec? You're lucky, I'm only getting 8k/sec. It would take longer to get a single iso from Red Hat's "exclusive" service than it would be for me to let BitTorrent do it's thing (currently running at 75k/sec).

  4. The "biggest stars" ... on RIAA, MPAA Instigate U.S. Naval Academy Raid · · Score: 1
Some of the recording industry's biggest stars, such as Madonna, Mick Jagger and Eminem, have joined coalitions to combat the wholesale theft of music.

Er... biggest stars? Madonna? Jeezus people, my brain still hurts from having to listen to her "Die Another Day" song, if you could call it that, at the beginning of the movie of the same name that I saw this morning! If she's one of the industry's biggest stars then that shows how sad the industry is these days. Eminem? I won't even go there... Mick Jagger? He's still alive? Maybe if the *AA cartels would cough up some REAL talent then people would have less of a problem paying for content.
