Microsoft is probably against this because they don't care about their programs being illegally copied now it'll require them another 10 thousand line of code, more frequent crashes.
On the other hand Linux popularity will fall and microsoft will grab a stronger hold in the OS market and will be a monopoly (if it already isn't)
