Ripple is an ecosystem for the transfer and exchange of commodities. While there is a currency native to Ripple called XRP that is effectively a digital currency in the same vein as Ripple, there hardly is anything in common.
Ripple allows you to exchange ANYTHING... ranging from Canadian dollars to US dollars to beaver pelts to Bitcoin, etc.... It is an ecosystem, for lack of a better word.
Please stop saying that this is even comparable to Bitcoin. It really is not.
