20 years ago I worked for a defense division of Honeywell. Our product used Honeywell 716 minicomputers made by the computer division of Honeywell. There were two models in the price list: with floating point processor and without. We bought without f.p. - to save substantial $$ - and removed a jumper from the main circuit board. Voila! Now we had floating point! (I'm not saying the taxpayers saved any money here, mind you,...)
Your comment is essentially: "I haven't bothered to click on the link to read the paper but I wouldn't be surprised to see that Microsoft's cheating." It took me all of five minutes to read the cited paper which carefully listed the exact configuration of all hardware and software used, with justification. You couldn't spend the five minutes to do that but went ahead and spewed your useless comment. Why? -- Dave
