Stop using the NRA's, manufacturer's and their lobbyists' terminology and start using your brain. Semi-automatic or automatic is still an assault. It is a weapon of mass destruction. What part of 30 dead humans (and more if one swaps out the clip and keeps pulling their li'l ol' finger) is not a mass?
No one can kill as many people as quickly with a knife as one can with a semi-automatic gun. This is a fact. If you lined up 30 humans and had someone slit their throats as quickly as possible, it still wouldn't be as fast as a gun.
One can be far away from a human and kill them with a finger pull. Semi-automatic weapons should be restricted to firing ranges and closed outdoor hunting ranges where they can be tracked and monitored at all times.
