I was actually thinking of the Air Force more than any other service. You can reach squadron commander by the age of 42 or 44. That isn't that old and he probably has his 20 years in. So here you have a person with a lot of experience in the military but you want to exclude him from working in the field where he is highly qualified and will pay him the most?
