If you need to access your data remotely and securely, why not just use sftp or ftps to log in to your in-house server? That way you can keep logs on the users that connect, set up who can access what, and have the traffic encrypted.
I don't know why everyone is so hooked on "the cloud".
"...volunteered personal data", and "Our willingness to give our information to companies and social networking ". The government doesn't care if we are willing or not, and will still take our personal data.
