Did a whois on a few of the domains listed in the email and they all had: NS1.PETERHOST.RU and NS2.PETERHOST.RU listed as nameservers (ip address 80.93.50.53 and 80.93.56.2) doing a search on spamhaus site shows these ip addresses as not listed...
upgrade can be found here: http://www.isc.org/products/BIND/delegation -only.h tml
There is no need to create a com or net data file. Just the entries to the named.conf file is enough
zone "com" { type delegation-only; };
zone "net" { type delegation-only; };
Ofcourse, if you use views, this needs to be provided within the relevant view (the one performing recursive lookups).
If possible handle encryption at the mail server... there are smime based email encryption servers that will handle encryption/decryption... if this is not satisfactory then at a minimum put up an email policy server that will verify that any email going out is encrypted... if the users aren't willing encrypt thier messages, then don't let them email... below are examples of email encryption and policy enforcement servers (btw I belive tumbleweed can do policy enforcement as well)
I could not immediatly find a link to a story.. but Cygnus was very successful at making money "selling" gcc. Basicly companies paid cygnus to port gcc to their platform.
A truly nifty multi protocol grabber:
http://curl.haxx.se/
has the same name as this.... erms.. thing.. though I can't verify it.. I do belive the curl.haxx.se folks have been using the curl name longer then the language dudes..
Too bad the curl.haxx.se folks didn't trademark.. now I'm going to have constant confusion with the term Curl!
I realy wish the language dudes would change their name!
netcraft published some of the SSL stats and observed that since Verisign has Baught thawte.. they now control 99% of all certificates issues... gee.. and I thought microsoft had a monopoly:)
so if verisign is ever considered to be untrusted.. does that mean that 99% of all public certificates are considered untrusted?
How successful have people been at attacking the happyhacker and linuxppc servers that you are letting people attack and are you going to provide session logs of intresting attempts?
Several of the lawers that have commented here mention thier willingness to help protect OSS by cross licence agreements and perhaps the posibilty of defending OSS against patents based on prior art.
Why have none of you started such a movement? It would demonstrate knowledge ability in the areas of computers, open source, and patent law and create general publicity for your firm.
Register.com is a registrar... they compete with Network solutions (ignore the fact that network solution owns the registry for the moment.. it adds much confusion to the matter)... both of them are registrars.. Network solutions has refused to share thier whois database. So now to find out if a domain is registered you have to do one of the following:
a> try registering a domain name with Netsol or register.com.. they won't let you if it's registered....
b> do an nslookup using the rootnameservers (put a dot at the end of the domain) (one of the root nameservers is a.root-servers.net)... this will tell you if a name is currently pointing somewhere.. but won't tell you if the name it's self is on hold... (on hold would be a late payment or tradmark dispute type issue)
c> go to register.com's whois and it will lookup information in both Netsol and their databases... notice the diffrence in information provided between nudesource.org(a domain registered via register.com) and yahoo.com( a domain registered via netsol)
The most anyoing fact about this is there are lots of free hosting companys that have automated scripts that ONLY utilize Netsol's databases and forms....
It appears that the my adultlinux site has gone down for the time being. There is a mailing list at adultlinux@onelist.com (go to www.onelist.com to subscribe). the site was being run on www.fsn.net's free web space. If anyone knows of a place I can put this site that can withstand the/. effect in the future please let me know. Thanks, ckoontz@yahoo.com

no it doesn't... sco would still have the right to make thier own fork of gcc... thier fork would just not be devloped or supported by the FSF

Ok.. my question is how does a program manage to execute on Windows and Linux? aren't the loaders diffrent and incompatible?

do the words: pure hack value.. mean anything to you?
not everything that is built is done for usefulness...
check out some of the apps that have been ported to aalib (ascii graphic lib)
What do you attempt to achive by offering a large archive of virus source code?
