I haved used the Plesk Control Panel since version 1. It works great for what it was designed for. If you are just doing webhosting and need to create domains and email accounts quickly and easily it will do it. If you want to change anything, get some coffee and a programing book because it is not easy.
They are now upto Version 1.3.1 with PHP and Mod_perl. This is the first version I would recomend people useing for complicated domains.
The support people at plesk are great, they pass almost any idea you give them onto the developers so it can get in the next version.
AGP was designed when RAM was very very expensive. Intel wanted a get a way for Graphics cards to get more RAM by sharing the Main system memory. Since RAM prices have dropped to almost nothing this is not needed anymore but it is still there. It is a port and not a bus for this reason. This is also why you don't many Dual AGP slot boards.
