uhh.. sure.. script kiddies may be pranksters, but there are folks out there who go far beyond pranksterism.
Yes, believe it or not, there are actually highly skilled people out there in places like North Korea, China, Iraq, and other places who would love to cripple the DoD's capability to wage war.
Whether you think the DoD is a good entity, a bad one, or something else, they are sort of in charge of fighting America's wars. With compromised computer systems, it's sorta tough to fight a 21st Century war. A war where the US can't use it's lead in information technology is a war the US could very well loose.

I was just wondering, has Microsoft finally switched Hotmail over from BSD to Windows?
