I read story in a Wired, but I don't remeber what month it was from. Anyways, Sirius Radio is going to be launching their satellites soon and they will be commercial free. Also, cars with radios ready to receive satellite audio are already being produced my many auto manufacturers.
I am just curoius as to how long has the validity of the patent been in dispute? I remember hearing about it quite a while ago when they tried to sue B&N, but I don't remember if that is the first time it was ever questioned or not.
This may be a very good reason to start to wonder if Cisco is asleap at the wheel, but their boxes route pretty close to all the traffic on the net.
While I was working at Nortel, they claimed that 85 or 90 % of the traffic on the internet also went through one of thier products also. Remember that number can always be manipulated for the people serving them up.
Linux, just like BeOS, supports a mass of filesystems. This isn't just a great thing to have for enterprise users, but can also come in handy when you happen to be transferring files from a hard drive you just pulled off another computer
It is of course also helpful for those users who are forced to dual-boot because they have that one damned application they can only run in Winblows.
Running the DLLs on Alpha, Sparc, MIPS, PowerPC, or any other platform supported by NetBSD or GNU/Linux will be dog slow because it must go through an x86 emulation layer.
Yeah, especially in the x86 platforms that most Linux users are on.
One of the problems with open standards is that they sometimes contain too much "information" to suit everyone's needs. Cisco's routers perform better than routers of other companies because they are propriatary instead of conforming to open standards.
>>>If I put my name in that pot, it would have been under an agreement between Toysmart and myselft that stipulates that my name would not be sold.
That is not always true. How do you think that you get all of those "great" credit card offers. Because someone has your information and is selling it to these other companines that we have grown to hate.
