The user/group nobody should only be used as it was originally intended, to limit access with UUCP. If you're not using UUCP on your system, you should be able to remove nobody and the system shouldn't even know the difference.

Small correction. "nobody" user is used by NFS clients when UID/GID for files from mounted file system don't exsist localy.

"display RC only if RC changed" - I like this, going to steel. In my prompt I display RC only if RC != 0

I also conditionally display user name and host name - only if they different from default. And when UID=root, prompt turns red. And of cause will display colors not only on ANSI compatible terminals (and use colors only if terminal can display it).

Spelling police again. I remember black driver in NYC was boasting that he knows English better than any other cabbie in Manhattan. And his language was pretty far from English. Why people in US are so proud that they know only one language? And why they are so intolerant to any one who doesn't know theirs language perfectly?

English is not my first language too. And not second either. Isn't it obvious by name of mis-spe ller, that he is not Anglo-Saxon origin? I can bet that he didn't have English in his first grade.

So if you define Space age as the moment when people began to persue a realistic way of getting into space, then Goddard did start the space age

Russian Tsiolkovsky started to pursue a realistic ways of getting into space in the end of 19 century. He worked on liquid fuel rockets too. Found that most efficient fuel will be O2+H2. Formula, which tells speed of rocked in any moment in time is called after him (probably not in US, he was damned Russian after all). Just to give an example of some of his research: he tested how many G it is possible to withstand on animals; he even described regeneration of oxygen in life support system in the gardens grown in witlessness.

There were also several other armature groups in Germany and Russia who worked on realistic ways getting into space before Goddard.

Gromyko didn't lied. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I know that the conversation was something like this - "You have offensive weapons in Cuba? Gromyko - No".

To understand why it wasn't the lie, one should know the context. When surrounding SU with nukes in Canada, Alaska Japan, Turkey and Europe, Americans politician were talking about "shield" against evil SU. Some of then were at approximately the same distance as Cuba from Florida. US called these nukes defensive weapon against SU. Americans of cause were expecting that Russian should call theirs nukes offensive weapons, they are bad guy after all.

    A Russian Guy.
