    No its not,

their was to much dislike of the idea so they canned it.

Anyway who would have cared, it was meant to be an uncredited non-talking role. It was even rumoured they were going to die in some big battle scene, now that would have been worth seeing

As a point, both of these devices offer the capability to move data files as well

while you may not sync your music that often (and I probablly wouldn't, If I owned a mac and an ipod). The speed difference would really come in to its own when using it to transfer data.

If ive backed a few files up to it I want them off the disc as quick as I can so I can use them.

Also I have heard of hacks (im not even sure how big a hack) to use the ipod as a boot device. Try that over USB

Please note the phrase STUPIDLY COMPLICATED.

It wasnt meant to be a serious suggestion

What happened to the art of sarcasm without the overuse of smileys. It died.

Do you really need to have all your apps in the path at all.

I mean Their are hundreds of apps that are installed that I (you?) will never use. I dont really need them in my path as long as their is a logical place to find them.

So if I have a good directory organisation, and then only add to my path the apps I really want to use a lot/quicklly (ll, vi, emacs, nedit, aCC, perl etc).

The rest I can just refer to by full path. Its not much harder to type /usr/sbin/swlist.

Stupidlly complicated sugestion update the shell to add any command you run to the path and keep it their until its been unused for a week. So first time I enter /usr/sbin/swlist. After that if I keep using it its just swlist.
