I don't how many of you are old enough to remember the now defunct BYTE magazine, probably one of the top three technical magazines of all time. They would have fun with their April 1st issues. One year they had a featured article by the purported creator of Pascal a college professor explaining that he created Pascal as teaching tool in what NOT to do when creating a programming language. He went through step by step every design flaw in pascal. It was a brilliant joke and the magazine took a lot of flack from disgruntled Pascal programmers, and readers without a sense of humor.
