  1. Absolutely!! on Do You Consider Your Social Life When You Choose A Career? · · Score: 1

When taking a job that involves a relocation, you absolutely should consider aspects other than job responsibilities. Unless you spend 24/7 at the office, you want to live somewhere where you can have some fun (whatever that may be). I just took a job that has me relocating to Houston. I turned down IBM because I didn't want to live in NY with its high state and local income taxes. Everything is a factor.

  2. Re:I can see it now... on Laser-equipped 747 · · Score: 1

Regardless of whether biplanes will be confused with missles or not, I refuse to concede that using commercial aircraft, carrying civilians, makes a good military anti-missle weapon. Maybe it is convenient (probably more 747s in the air at one time than F-16s) but please.....it is just a bad idea...military and the general public should be kept seperate (except in times of a draft or something like that).

Did anyone hear about Compaq vying for the position Dell was given? If so, what happened?

  4. I can see it now... on Laser-equipped 747 · · Score: 1

I can just imagine the mess when the plane decides a small biplane is a missle and blows it out of the sky. Does anyone else think this is insane? You decided it would be a good idea to use a commercial aircraft as a anti-missle tactic???

  5. Keep this in the Technology arena on ICANN, new TLDs, and Congress? · · Score: 1

This looks like another example of Congress and big Gov't trying to make decisions that should be left in the technological realm. There are reasons the approved TLDs were approved and those reasons are probably not fully understood by Congress. Although I would have added TLDs like .xxx (so blocking them would be relatively easy), I trust the decision.
