Gee, seems to me that Napster has generated enough album sales from me, and I've barely ever used it!! Seems to be the only medium available for finding that CD, or Artist, that's associated with that song you heard while driving in your car, but didn't have the time or opportunity to write down. Hell, Dianne Reeves' "Only Me", wasn't even 'plugged' by the DJ's on the radio, nor was "Mr. Magic". You ever try going into a record store and attempt to describe a song you like by just author or title (or part thereof), only to be looked at as if you were a fool for not knowing? It's not a positive feeling!! Napster is the only reason I've brought the collection of CD's I now have... AND YES!!! I HAVE A BURNER! I don't use it for pirating. I use it to restore SCRATCHED CD's that I've paid good hard earned money for by using utilities like Napster. Why don't you try going into a record store asking if they have "Ellysian Fields'" NEW Album or "Barrumundi" and not know the album's title. Hey, see if you can find anything from "Peaches & Herb". Are you even old enough to remember them? Tell me, who wrote the song, "A Ah Ooh" back in the mid-70's? What was the latest album from "Ashford and Simpson"? Now do you see the value of a utility such as Napster? Do you really think a person interested in collecting such media will settle on some downloaded pieces and bits? If we like the product, we WILL buy it, regardless! Hell, look at AOL, MSN and other paid ISP's. We can get it for free, can't we (hint: think NetZero), but we still pay for it anyway! Nuff said!!
