Ah, so that's why these people use the double extension. Since "Hide file extension for known file types" is just about the first thing I turn off, it never occurred to me. You'd think they'd notice a file suddenly appear *with* an extension.
Wait, no they wouldn't.... what am I saying?

I've seen a lot of speculation that M$ may decide to challenge the GPL.

What if they don't want to use GPL code?
    What if they already have?
Since M$ was hacked recently, what if they're afraid someone got a look at their code and may recognize some of it being from GPL software?

Maybe I'm just too tired today, but that's just something that occurred to me.

I'm as web aware as the next Linux user, but I do get sick of staring at a screen after a while.
I think the bottom line is this: Maximum Linux did it's part to raise Linux awareness (we all know there are people who have no clue what Linux is,) and generally speaking, it was a Good Thing.

    Personally, I'll miss it.

I wouldn't worry about hydrogen liquifying. Hydrogen boils at something to the effect of -670 degrees Celsius. I dunno what that is in Farenheit, but suffice to say that you'll change state before the hydrogen does.

My biggest worry is that these people suggesting this are right here in London, Ontario. I knew we had some whacked out people here (especially in the east end) but apparently I had no idea to what extent! I guess the bright side is that if they do survive re-entry, they likely won't land here ;)
