Have you ever read Hart's Hope? There is very little moral preaching in that work. And what religion there is in the other works I've read hasn't offended me. He rights solid scifi about thoughtful characters. I like Ender, the Maker series, and the Earthborne series cause their cool and imaginitive senarios that are well played and well told. And for the record Hart's Hope was among the more disturbing books I've read which at no time aproached anything that could be considered Mormon, Christian, or Budhist morals.
I like him I'll continue to read books he writes. Maybe your just picking up the wrong ones.
