  1. Anyone can do a better job that Sun on Web Development With JSP · · Score: 1
This is my first post so don't flame me :-)

Anyone can do a better job of explaining the java web application platform(s) than sun does at theirsite. By coincidence, I just posted the following message at the feedback page for Sun's EJB "Overview" pages about half an hour ago:

    http://java.sun.com/cgi-bin/feedback.pl?refurl=htt p://java.sun.com/j2ee/overview.html

    ********

It is a pitty that your web site is written for analysts and wankers because I would really like to use it to learn more about the Java platform particulary in relation to e-commerce/web-applications. I've been going wandering around your site in circles now for about half an hour reading various white papers and the mindless marketing drivel that middleware pushers feed to gullible analyst/information officer morons.

Specifically, I am a university student. Apparently the fact that I achieved high distinctions in both the java programming subjects I studied at RMIT University (Melbourne, Australia) isn't going to help me understand anything about Enterprise Java Beans from reading the hype at your web site.

For gods sake this is just a sample of the nonsence you offer as an "Overview" of Enterprise Java Been architecture at

    http://java.sun.com/j2ee/overview.html

"Today's enterprises gain competitive advantage by...[bullshit, bullshit]..."

"...quick development and deployment are key to success." - wow I had never thought about that!

"In today's heterogeneous environment..." - a reference to global warming?

"J2EE breaks the barriers..." - dunno, sounds dangerous.

"The unified J2EE standard wraps and embraces existing resources" - yet wholesome (I always new there was something missing from my life).

    *******

If anyone has any links that lead to better online resources explaining EJB and Sun's java web application platform(s) - EJB, servlettes, JPS (although I pretty much get the drift of JSP) - I'd appreciate you posting them.Real case studies (and code) of Servlette / JSP integration would be interesting.
