I believe that they are referring to this being the first production to an audience as they say that they ran:
"...a further practice run on a Seattle Seahawks-Giants game in December"
Also they didn't just set up the cameras today and are crossing their fingers, it has taken 3 weeks to prepare the site, and I bet that they didn't forget to take some shots of the groundskeeper replacing the sod. I bet they're saving that for halftime.
