Actually I have, transferring to a few of my friends here in the same complex and such. Here is the problem though. I dont know if its just here but the uploads hit 40k fast as hell. Then stayed there for the entire transfer, never wavering... always 40k. Its annoying but im more interested in downloading from the net anyways. Thanx though.
Well out here we have a 2 megabit capped cable line. I live in an on-campus apartment here at RIT and we dont have access to the network. All the apartments in this complex have a cable modem. And I still consistently get over 200KB downloads even during peak times, and bandwidth tests up in the 500 - 600K range. Roadrunner Im very happy with... Adelphia Powerlink back home in Buffalo is another story (it sucks... last time i was home my bandwidth tested at 70K for an entire day)... yes I said I got 70K on Powerlink.
this is a perfect example of why americans are becoming a society of wusses. This it total over thinking by psychologists and the like trying to get people to believe that competition harms people.
Also the psychologists and sociologiest that subscribe to this "competition is bad" idea are also probably the ones that always got picked last in gym class.... this is their form of getting back.
I think you should have them play Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. Most people have never even heard of the game, its a bit on the complicated side, but there is tons of stratrgy involved.
