Pretty much by definition, songs around the 50% mark are those that will take you out of your current musical comfort zone. That's a good thing. Think of the top of the list as confirming (if you generally like them) the validity of the lower part.
...until you've been forced to pair program with someone who's typing skills never made it past the hunt-and-peck stage. Ten minutes of that and I'm usually making a lunge for the keyboard. The sad thing is that most people realize that they're wasting time but aren't willing to take the 10 or 20 hours of practice that would get them to the state where they could touch type.
That said, I've always wondered how fast kids raised on first person shooters can type. They use most of the keyboard and both speed and accuracy are rewarded. Bring on _Typing of the Dead_!
If you're into the happier club/rave stuff, this won't do much for you, but there's a great site listing both mainstream and more obscure harder stuff. Industrial and darkwave aren't everyone's cup of tea, but they're definitely electronic.
Industrial/Gothic music index.
The site can also help track down the connections between bands/artists since musicians in the industrial scene seem to change their tag depending on who they're working with and the current flavor of their work.
Enjoy.
By the time I reach the bar at Zaphod Beeblebrox's here in Ottawa each Thursday night there is a tall Jynnan tonnyx waiting for me at the bar, glowing violet in the black light.
It is a curious fact, and one to which no one knows quite how much importance to attach, that something like 85 worlds in the Galaxy, be they primitive or highly advanced, have invented a drink called jynnan tonnyx, or gee-N'N-T'N-ix, or jinond-o-nicks, or any one of a thousand or more variations on the same phonetic theme.
Mine is alternatively pronounced 'A tall Bombay and tonic, with lime.'
The first one this week will be in honor of Douglas Adams. Heck, make that all of them:)

While I enjoyed _The Business_ (especially taken as a sort of Ayn Rand homage/parody) Banks has written much better stuff. _Complicity_ is my personal (non-SF) favorite. Take the most sleazy, debauched jounalist character and put him in the middle of an apparent conspiracy with retributive justice and bodies piling up then watch the mayhem. Not for the faint of heart/stomach but immensely fun.
