I spent a 5 week period at Linuxcare this year.
What I saw there was pretty ill. It was a rats
nest of clueless managers slinging NT laptops
spending money as fast they could. The CIO was
a greyman drone who created a police state
atmosphere where people were afraid to point
out the insane path the company was on. I am
very happy to have cut my losses and got out
quick. There were many smart people in SF but
nothing could make up for the inhuman working
conditions and venomous politics. I am happy
to be out.
