On a similar note, I remember a really old notebook that I had (a 486) with J-Mouse. Anyone remember that? it was the coolest thing... the J key had a little indentation on it, and when you pushed it from side to side, it would function as the mouse, and the asdf keys were a=middle, s=right, d=double left, f=left which was super useful. iirc, they also made a keyboard with that functionality installed... anyone ever see those? I believe it was on a zenith system...
Ah well. good luck with your trackball search... I use a usb marble on my home system, that might work too (tho it is kinda big)
Hey, if you check out the "sections" they don't quite match up what I get when i do it on the regular/. server...
ie, if you hit apache, I get like 2mos of topics, instead of the usual 10 or so. and some of the other sections don't have the headers and crap that they usually have. maybe a bug.... maybe they just like to abuse bandwidth.
Seems like you have been having way more problems than i have... i get a good 25 feet distance, no prob. My keys stuck a little just after i got the system, but they haven't seemed to do that since. not a problem. (course, i had the same problem with my old keyboard, so i guess that could be why i'm so oblivious to it...) as for the battery situation, i use my computer a whole lot (but not the mouse, i prefer the marble trackball... if only they made that wireless!) and i've had the cordless desktop for over 6 mos, and i haven't replaced the batteries that came with it yet. i love it. one of the coolest things that i have for my computer, it's great.
Wait, you mean to say that gcc EMBRACED and EXTENDED the C standard? God Forbid!
