  1. Re:Check out Amiga Virtual Processor language on The Fastest Web Language On The 'Net? · · Score: 1

I'm an Amigavangelist. You actually expect me to have evidence to back up my claims? ;-) Acutally, I'm just a fan, so I haven't taken the time to really investigate it. And I'm not a programmer yet (and if so, I would with a scripting lang. like PHP), so I can't run my own tests. But I do believe the claims. It's based on Tao's VP, which appears to have a lot of respect.

  2. Check out Amiga Virtual Processor language on The Fastest Web Language On The 'Net? · · Score: 1

Amiga's virtual processor language is portable and usally faster than native apps. I know you won't believe me, so check it out for yourself - http://www.amiga.com.

  3. Amiga is on the road to fulfilling Raskin's dream on Jef Raskin On OS X: "It's UNIX, It's backwards." · · Score: 1

Amiga is right in line with Raskin's thoughts - the OS is a layer that the user should not have to deal with. It's the applications that are important.

Amiga isn't there yet, but they are bringing us one step closer. Amiga DE will be the tool that separates the user from the OS - breaking the dependency.

But the Digital Environment concept they are working towards long term - whew! Hold on to your hats folks.

The standarized OS WILL disappear. If not with Amiga's implementation, then with programmers including their own "OS shell" with each application.

  4. From what I hear, it already exists on OS X on x86? · · Score: 1

This is just a rumor that I heard from one of my Mac-loving buddies. Supposedly, there has been a group of programmers within the Apple ranks that started on a Mac OS for x86 many versions ago, because Jobs was considering it but quickly dropped the idea. But this group has kept it up all along. Perhaps for their own enjoyment, or perhaps waiting for Jobs to come and ask them to look into it for him. But it doesn't really matter. Once the AmigaDE shows its stuff programmers will settle on Amiga as the default programming platform and you will be able to run whatever program you want on whatever processor you want.

  5. BIND NT on Running BIND 4 or 8? Upgrade! · · Score: 1

I can't find any specific reports that these vulnerabilities exist in BIND NT, nor can I find any updates. Am I just looking in the worng places, or is BIND NT not affected?
