Me and a couple of friends saw the trend of the corporate giants taking over the ISP market and realized a buck could be made helping them. So we started a small company that was geared to small ISP's being able to add services and features they would otherwise miss out on. It was free to the ISP and yet after talking to literally over 1400. They all felt like they were secure in their market. Then the pressure started hitting with more and more players and they began partnering with each other to provide larger access areas instead of realizing they needed value added services to offer to their customers. By the time they realized it, the others were several steps ahead of them.
I love cheering for the little guy, but they kinda dug their own grave.

Who do we have to blame but ourselves? Sure we should have the safety of relying on parents or guardians to inform the school or local authorities of odd behavior paterns. If you will notice though the kids shooting up schools don;t have parents that are capable of watching for this.
So we want to drag the schools down saying they are wrong for their attempts to stop these horrible acts? Schools are already under funded and when the shootings happen they get the lawsuits thrown at them from parents saying they should have been on guard to students acting this way. GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS! Its the parents of the kids that need to be in tune. America as a whole is making school a daycare or caretaker for their kids instead of being an active part in their life.
I will agree and say its a sad day when a girl has this much trouble because she was doing what she was told. I hope she wins the lawsuit to get her legal bills paid for. I hope her and her family rot in hell if they try some multi million dollar punitive damage suit against the school though.
Although not a lawyer, as I recall for a SLANDER lawsuit to have a shot in court there has to be obvious indications that the person telling the story or making the comments made them with the intent of harming or hurting the other.
Post on a yahoo message board hardly fit that description. Now if he was holding meetings with investors or current employees with the mindset of "I may not go Postal with a gun, but dammit they will pay" sure he would have something to worry about.
Of people going too far. Even at companies that asked you to sign over intellectual property (as though they can enforce that). or sign a NON-COMPETE clause. Bottom line is they can't stop you fom being you. If the comments from 1 former employee(sounds better than EX) would cause a stock price to drop that serious, the company has bigger issues than anyone can see.
br?
BTW non compete in MOST States is worthless because they cannot stop you from supporting yourself. Razzious Domini
I worked as an insurance agant for several years, and then did underwriting for insurance after that. In both cases we were trained to discriminate.
Sure the obvious is a person that is high risk (regardless oif its health insurance or property and causualty) if you have alot of accidents, you are gonna pay alot more or be denied coverage. If you have had 3 open heart surgeries and are a diabetic, you are not gonna be a finacial burden to the millions of others paying premiums.
We used MUCH more barbaric methods of screening than something with this much scientific basis for our decisions. At least here there is an amount of science to it instead of just what someone thinks. Razzious Domini
A dirty old man once told me "Son there are 2 things that smell like FISH...and only 1 of them IS"
When will they learn that they don't have the right to all we own. Although I wonder when I see things like this, is it not a TROLL type story designed to get us all worked up.
The reason for encryption fear is obvious though. Face it anything "THEY" want to find out on you "THEY" can. Your bank records, search your house, search a safe deposit box, confiscate belongings etc. Encryption effectivily removes this power. As someone previously posted "if its outlawed only the outlaws will use it". Razzious Domini
Seems to me you have already lost your freedom by not being able to read or use M$ files. I don't know that I have a suggestion on a solution, but using M$ software will not be the end of the world, and we wil all still love you no matter how hard you kiss Bill Gates ARSE.

Oh I see,
So its ok for them to call me cracker and whiteboy etc. They can have fun...My gay friends can tease me about "don't knock it til ya tried it" but i cannot? What rock are you hiding under? The biggest misconception when dealing with this subject is assuming color/race, sexual preference, religion etc. DO NOT matter!...THEY DO MATTER!
If you are black, white, green, or whatever, its stupid to expect people to be color blind...I WANT PEOPLE TO SEE ME FOR WHAT I AM and not worry.
Is it offensive for my muslim friends to crack at me cause I am protestant? I don't think so...but during Ramadan(spelling is undoubtedly wrong), I have the same luxury to them.
I think the problem in too many instances is the "MINORITY MIND". Not all minorities act as though they are. One of my closest friends is a BLACK MCSE. Now aside from the fact that he is a "Bill Gates whore with his MCSE", he is not the norm. There are not alot of black techies out there. He doesn't let that be an issue for him, and the ones that make it an issue, are shown for the fool they are.

I am not a hack guru, hell I don't know the first thing about coding, however having worked for a software company that wrote software running all of several casino's slots, their security is not weak PERIOD. To the dude saying taking in a LAPTOP? You have obviously NEVER been to a casino. They have more Cameras than the XFL does in the cheerleaders dressing room. You cannot avoid being on camerain any vagas casino. Hell I bet soe have fiber optic cameras in the rooms..(damn that crackwhore night may catch up to me yet). Now the BSOD I can see happening. Lets face it other than RARE instances NT machines with even light duty use CRASH OFTEN. I recall being in a mall that had a movie theatre and the little Kiosk that youcould select the trailer you wante to see was BLUE SCREENED...All in all, I doubt the slots will be conected to a outside network, and only a select few will have access to them I am certain. For any of you that happen to get that lucky.. LETS BE FRIENDS.
Being a BIGTIME football fan I do like the idea of an alternative to the NFL and its constant lack of football and more show. I am Uncertain that McMahon is the man for the job of NO SHOW though. the entire WWF was built on alot of fluff and little if any content. On the technoly part, WE (whoever we is) must be sending a message to THEM(again who are THEM?) that we need more. The constant barrage of REALISM TV, the lit-up hockey puck on FOX. For some reason the need for more technology seems to have leaked into the things we once held sacrid and "pure". I think the assume that because of the technology CRAZE they must assume if its possible to show it or do it PEOPLE WANNA SEE IT. If the ratings for the XFL continue to stay high, maybe we are wrong in saying its gone too far.
Side Note I have not and do not plan on watching this series of Survivor strictly out of protest. I will rent BABES ON THE BEACH instead.
