I think if you looked carefully at the statistics though, this kind of citizen backlash occurs infrequently compared to the times when the common citizen gets screwed over by entities with lots of money & legal representation.
i would be happy to look carefully at the statistics you refer to. Where can i find them?
i'm not a programmer; i'm more like the Official User and am involved with Fireworks as a tester. i'm not in the loop in development of Dreamweaver.
But i use both of these products, and i want to say that they kick BUTT!
Now i want to say that i like all of Macromedia's products, because they are what got me my bread and butter even before i began working here.
But the combo of Dreamweaver 2 and Fireworks 2 makes me PROUD to be a Macromedian.
Let me add one thing to the combo: BBEdit as your text editor. Dreamweaver lets you pick your text editor, but BBEdit is the thing for me. i used to be a really BIG Mac fan, but the cross-platform compatibility of our products has made me realize that the platform (at least in my field) is irrelevant. i'm still a big Mac fan, but i have to do all my work on a Windows machine--against my will, but there it is. BBEdit, however, is the reason i still have an excuse to keep a Mac on my desk....

Sorry, but the baseline competency of sellout hackers will always be better than the baseline competency of not-for-profit hackers.
Here's my bias: i work for Macromedia.
