  1. Re:Wireless @ McDonalds on McDonalds to go Wireless? · · Score: 1

But lets say for a moment that McDonalds service was targeted o the tech crowd. It would be a LAN party every day. Geeks packed in lie sardines, machines everywhere, and there would be no need for a 2AM food run because the food would be right there. Really, there would be no reason to ever leave. (Ecept for the fact that the food sucks)

thats not true, have you ever read goblet of fire? there is a match in it where the seeker who cathes the snitch, actually loses the game for his team, it all matters on points, and the snithc just happens to be worth the most.

i disagree about the world cup section. a large part of it neeeds to be there. it introduces Krum, it introduces the death eaters, and it leave clues about what happens later in the book.

JK rowling, i belive, is making the directors stay close to the book. From what i understand she has an integral part in the movies....she also has to personallly authorize any advertisments or merchendise.

that would work quite well, the first robot, the "friendly" one, gets the oppomet robot drunk. Then after the opponent is intoxicated, crash, the rest swarm in and rip it to shreads.

transworld entertainment stores(atelast the one i work in) seems to have a fairly decent electronica collection. The "fye" in seatac mall(federal way, WA) is the one i am speaking of. if you are in this area stop by and check it out.....and no im not trying to build business for the company. its expensive as hell, but we might have w hat you want.

this will be interesting how they determine what contitues a computer. Would it be the case, or the monitor. If for instance they deem the case under that tax, microsoft would be forced to sell you a full version of windows when you bought a case. They say now its only buyable when you purchase a whole computer, but with this tax law, who knows what a computer will be.

  7. Re:That guy is pretty brave on Build Your Own Monorail · · Score: 1

there is a fine line betweeen bravery and insanity. but i have got to give this guy props, id never have the skills to do somthing like this. maybe i could hire him to build a monorail INSIDE my house, keep my computer in it. tote around the house. what i meant to say, was DVD recording, not copying. Not to say that i have a problem with copying, as long as it is genuinly used for a back up copy.

  9. There it goes. on MPAA Finds First Actual DVD Copiers in U.S. · · Score: 2, Interesting

now the MPAA will have extra justification for any suits against DVD copying. Takes a greedy pirate to ruin it for the rest of us :-(

the point of going to a concert, is to see the artist in person, to hear them, to see and feel the emotion flying through the air. When you are around people who are there too see the same band, there is a sense of unity. You may be a geek, a jock, or a "G" and still get along perfetly at the concert. Why take that away?

also, Moshing is very hard over the internet. MoshPit Quake3 maybe?
