Monopolostic tendencies are all over the place. I'm still hoping that mini Bells' horrible customer service will be their point of failure, cause it ain't getting any better as they grow and merge (and then grow and merge again...).
One breakthrough could be the wireless DSL or similar upcoming technologies, but unfortunately the whole bandwidth is already sold out to big companies! The air is full of waves but we can't even broadcast a low power FM signal!
This will be a long battle until some of the digital bandwidth is claimed back by public.
Wait until they start censoring the flow of content! There are already signals of that, as we've seen in Napster case.
