Desler said no customer data, customer e-mails or personal information appeared to have been compromised in the attack. He also said the company had had no reports of slowdowns because of the attack.
No slow downs on the slowest web-mail system.. hhmm How would you tell if it was slow???
We also dont know how much information was lost because it was running on MS servers.
Looks like we know were M$ got the ideas for smart Tags. It is sad how everyone points out how MS removed the smart tags from Windows XP. But No one lets you know of the smart tags that are in the Office Suite.
The really sad thing is friends of mine will say this is just FUD from the Linux users.
I do know at least 6 people is 3 different dept. at IBM that use linux as thier desktop. I also know that one of them supports a lot of other users who use linux. I would say the reason most people dont have it is because 90% of the users out there are not wanting change (change is bad) so they will stay with what they know.
I have a friend who does Contengesy planning all of the time (well it is his job). He thinks of ways to have a company brough to its knees. to see how the employees handle it. He has brought some to tears because of the detail that he done. It is always a good thing to have someone think of a crisses and have the IT dept try and figure out a way to fix the problem.
what would your company do if the power plant near you blew up and all of your power went out, Just as the Damn near your office also colaped. Who would know about the rushing water of doom coming to take your office with it??
How do you fight that besides sorting through headers and writing to abuse@blaa.com or whatever? Even if they pass some $500 fine per piece of spam, how can you enforce it?
Doing everything you said does take some time. While you are at it. Find the billing address of the company (It is sometimes in the spam). Send them a Bill for the spam for storing on your computer. When it hits 90 days past due send them off to colections. If the company that sells the banned CD's got 300 bills for 500.oo each and then was sent to collections.
I thought they were more like the bastard Pigmys in act 3. I also thought of the old Lemmings (sp) game when they walk across the log with the stick of TnT. Where was the 5 4 3 2 1 .
The movie was a good movie and it was done the way it should have been.

The movie is worth going and seeing on the BIG screen.
I spend at least 9-10 hours at work working monday thru thursday. I am also on call 24/7 so I do spend some extra time working at home. Seeing that I do Unix admin and shell coding for a Fortune 500 company things are slower then they were 2 years ago for me. Since the dotcom lay offs have happened and I had to go back to the corp. envirement I do work less and make more.
Fridays I do tend to slack off and only work 4-5 hours. It is just something about sleeping in and going home early on fridays that help.
I just used go-gnome last night to uprade to Ximian from Helix. Very smooth, very slick. The biggest nit I have to pick with the installation was that I was limited to Ximian's "categories."
I used it a few days ago thinking that I would be able to start it off and just leave it alone. But at last, It was not so. Since they droped there big reform of Sites, I used thier main site and had lots of networking issues on downloading the packages. I have used this site more than once with no problems, but I did find a few sites that had better than 100K download speeds. At the same time I was not having any issues surfing, mail, and P0rn.
This was the first time on using go-gnome that I have had any problems. I also noticed the lack of being able to select what you want. I am a big fan of chosing what I want and leaving the rest to gather dust. everytime time a company trys and makes it easier for the kid down the steet that only has a mouse that works. They make it ugly for those that want to pick and choose for themself. Oh-hum. I hope things get fixed.
It is always sad to see two companies that have worked together in the past start fighting.

No, just build the cluster inside of your walls of your house.
hhmmm. Would the heart beat of the LAN drive you insane???
Use it to test your web pages. Seeing the testing station is only a 3" cube and the server is a pizza box.
Mr. Smith, Sorry but I sat on your testing station.
