    Yes, the future is definately in trusted systems.

    The goal of the MPAA, and especially the RIAA, is to make sure that copyrighted information can be passed 'safely' to the consumer.
    Don't forget the hard drives being developed right now that will not allow you to control certain protected areas of it. We ( the sheep =) are all being led down the road of contraints.

    THE next big thing will be digital music that the RIAA will make sure you can't copy, transmit, or listen to without paying a per-basis fee. And you will have to have a 'trusted system' in order to listen.
