In french, we call it a "Délit d'initié" . In english, it translates as a "crime of insider trading" It means that you use some particular "secret???" information you got about the company to buy stock for yourself because you know this stock's price will raise or to give this information to some individuals so that they will buy it too. I think that the action of releasing company's informations on the internet can't be qualified of a crime of insider trading because it represents the right of free speech, the right to give information to the masses. In this case, the person do not try to advantage a single individual(Him or another person). This is also why we can't say that it is a "Délit d'initié"

  2. Situation in Canada... on Wired interview with Steinhardt · · Score: 2, Interesting

has already worsened. The parliament enacted laws that allow police forces to arrest any person that may be related to terrorist activities without any legal mandate.

Three of my friends have already been arrested. One of them was caught with a bag full of flour and was accused of possessing Anthrax powder. He has been in jail since the beginning of december and I don't know when he will be released.

Both of the others were arrested because they wanted to organize a gathering in front of the Israel Embassie to protest against attacks in Palestine. Unfortunately, it seems that some people misunderstood them and they were accused of "Wanting to organize a riot". They have been in jail for 2 weeks and I don't know when I will hear from them.

So, situation in Canada is now dangerously worsening and I think that we must wake (In USA and Canada) and protest against this step toward dictatorship.

While I agree with you on the fact that the human evolution is more impressive than any of such natural features of the Universe, this evolution is part of our daily life while much of what exist in the universe is not. The real world that we do not completely understand is not our reality and this is why we feel insignificant when we face it. You can compare us looking at the Universe to the explorer in Renaissance who was looking at the Atlantic Ocean or the Tribesman who was looking at the forest.

After using Windows ME and Windows 2000, I must say that Microsoft OSs crash far more often than Linux does. My LFS build only crashed one time and it was while I was installing Wine! (What a coincidence) Windows crashes AT LEAST 1 time an hour. (And that's when I'm not using Windows Media Player or some shits like this.) And, that's on a clean install! So, windows users, you can continue to let microsoft owners laugh of you and make billions of dollars. I will not support a crappy corporation which will soon possess the whole planet in its quest of power. In fact, it represents everything I hate in this world.
