  2. Re:Mobile Phone pricing in the US is just ridiculo on SMS vs. E-mail? · · Score: 1

thank you weirdo, for explaining things a little more. another reason mobile phone prices are far lower than in the us is related to the flipside of what weirdo said in the previous post... (i won't say this for all countries, but i can tell you this is true in israel and morocco) part of the cheapness is related to the expense of a landline. in both countries there is government financial support (or downright partial ownership) to help subsidize individual cellphone ownership.

? This movie: 1. SUCKED. Spielberg is clearly a washed-up pedophilial director who was never all that great in the first place. 2. Sick: this movie's plot basically depended on emotionally twisted yet conciously void humans (how about the scene by the pool... nice to know they're having a kid's birthday party by a pool and NO ONE is supervising the kids AT ALL.) Basically (please don't take too much offense, I'm just ranting) if you care more about Special Effects than Plot (if you liked T2...) you'll like this just fine. Otherwise it's an interesting primer in how Spielberg can ruin what would have been a great Kubrick film.

y'know... in the zd article they mention that what's being measured is the total use of those sites... including their services... so right off the top you need to factor in the popularity of napster, aim/msn messenger, and free web-based email. Look @ the sites they listed, think about how many non computer-savvy people are currently on the net using those services and then do the math... if you wanted to know that the majority of time the "average" consumer-user is spending on the net isn't used for browsing-time this is 'fascinating'... otherwise it seems of limited value.
