Yeah... I wouldn't about some 2 bit at web monkey tossing stones... especially since it's Lycos' web monkey. It's publish or perish at those places where your simply nothing more than a net slave.
Did I miss something? Is there an icon of a foot on this message? Actually reading over the CERT warning I came up with a big WHO CARES! Any Perl programmer worth their weight in poop knows to validate everything. This big todo about nothing really masks the BIG ASS MICROSOFT IIS hack that I got passed today. Why isn't that up here?... or haven't I scrolled down far enough yet.
Humm... strange... I work at a computer web position where there are more women in the IT department than men. Even the VP is a woman. Seven outta nine of our cobol programmers are women and the head of the department is a woman. They're programming an old IBM mainframe and an OS/390 machine, and make fun of my "PC or Pretend COmputer". We've got 3 women, that I know of in our networking deparmtnet and one of them is also the head of the department or pretty damn close to it... But I know of zero women who use Linux work on linux or even any flavor of Unix. Our networking department is a (gasp) MS shop and our big iron is IBM. THere's a bunch of HP9k around but I've never seen anyone using them.

Instant SQL by WORX Teach Yourself SQL in 21 days Teach Yourself T-SQL in 21 days (This is aimed at MS SQL, but I was able to pick up a lot of non-standard transaction programming which work with mySQL). Then there is always the SQL for dummies if you don't want to learn much and just need to steal some code for a quick query.
Does this mean I have a better chance of getting a HIGH paying job if I know how to use a UNIVAC? Are there more jobs out there for OLDER systems? Whats this CUTTING edge thing I keep hearing about. Well time to go back under my rock and watch CNN.
Man... Since this went up I've gotten 7 phone calls from other people in the building asking me if I'd seen this and if I'm sending a S.A.S.E in! Now I've got people wanting to catch RIDES! Just wait a sec. folks.

Well expect a Saturday Delivery FEDEX pack from me :)
Maybe they're looking at all the other companies who've already thrown money at RedHat. IBM is still the biggest mover and shaker when it comes to IT.
