...it is a responsibility. If you are a citizen of the United States, you are required to vote. If you don't like the system, that is all the more reason to vote.
Bush gets my vote. I am tired of working 4-5 months for free to pay the government each year. We need a tax cut for everyone. I don't get one under the Gore plan, even though I consider myself middle class. I know social security will be gone when I retire, but maybe 2 percent privatization my get our generation something. It is better than hoping. Also, my second amendment rights mean a lot to me. They mean nothing to Gore.
Also, for those of you voting Nader, check out the Green Party Platform. They believe in extra taxation for people like us who make money, and negative taxation for artists, teachers, etc. That is redistribution of wealth. aka Communism
Using Perl is well worth the efficientcy lost because of its string handling capabilities. CGI is string handling, and would be a nightmare without Perl.
Ummm... So how does a sales tax just hurt the poor? Poor people do not buy as much stuff as rich people (especially on the internet). I don't see many people buying water, food, shelter on the internet. How would this hurt the poor?
I'm not for a internet tax, but atleast it is more fair than income tax.

No doubt this is a wake up call for phone companies. These guys need to get busy and start deploying this nationwide. Maybe then USWest would deem it necessary to replace the ancient switch between my house and them keeping me from getting DSL.
What would be the difference if amazon registered another domain name and sold electronics and toys from there? Would you still like amazon because they are true to books?
Why not add it into their site? I have ordered many books from amazon and I trust them, so I might just check out the electronics next time I am in the market for a DVD player. It seems smart to me for them to leverage the amazon name.
