A lot of people seem to be forgetting that E*Trade trades a lot more stocks than just RedHat. They're trying to protect inexperienced people from getting in over their heads. Not just with RedHat, but with everything. Now, if someone who's been complaining here about not being allowed to participate in the RedHat IPO because they were honest on the survey tries to get in on another IPO, they might not complain as loudly because they were denied the ablility to participate there. It's just that this one hit so close to home.
