And for the people that don;t want yet another part of their identity being sent across the internet for all to see? How about people that don't WANT their middle initial transmitted to everyone they email with?
I just installed SC4 deluxe on my 64bit windows 7 machine last night and it seems to be working OK. But yeah, an update to modern hardware specs would be nice. CitiesXL is boring....
While I understand the games need to evolve or die, the games from Maxis are over-promising and under-delivering. Spore was nothing like it was described as. There was no evolution, it was Intelligent design at best.
My desire for a good game in this mould is being left unfulfilled.
The latest iteration of Sim City, and Civ V for that matter before it, feel like re-interpretations of the games on which they are based. After the designers hear a rough description of what the game is they create it based on a completely different set of rules and expectations than the original game used.
Why would an imperfection like a skip be unlikely when I rip a CD but common when a I download a pirated rip of that CD? Do the pirates rip it differently?
Or album sales, at least. Instead of people buying one song off a shitty album here and two songs off a shitty album there. Maybe it would have made albums king again
I just downloaded a track off a CD I recently bought and was added to my cloud library because of this. It was 256kbps constant bit rate Another was 281kbpsVBR
Good question, considering most of the music they added to my cloud account because of this was stuff I had bought as gifts but not marked as gifts when ordering.
I imagine it's a similar licensing scheme to that of their $25/year match service.
Or they use an app that bypasses the SMS network entirely. Plenty of stories out now about things like Facebook messenger killing SMS. Can't be that hard to create a custom app if need be that uses a more secure backend.
Indeed. A touch screen is much harder to navigate by feel than actual buttons.
Oh, I know where the heat control knob is, I can reach down a bit and spin it without taking my eyes off the road or... I can navigate two levels deep to find that control on touch interface and take a few seconds with my eyes off the road just to turn the heat up or down.

Why does Facebook even offer an API to developers if any time an app becomes popular they block them?

I believe the story in question was EA Forum Bans Can Lock You Out Of Games http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/03/11/ea-forum-bans-can-lock-you-out-of-games/
Youtube is more a number 2 in terms of content being dumped out by the commenters
ultimately subscription music costs more to the end user and pays the content producer less. Then there's all the music not available through sub
BMG had a better deal
They allow you to download their MP3s upon order, while you wait for that CD to be delivered.

VHS isn't lossless... Every play reduces the quality
It's also what Amazon is doing now with their match/cloud player service.
What they don't have licenses for they upload from your collection.
IME, you can buy used CDs from Amazon for about $4. Rip it and it sounds the same as a bought mp3 album.
if you mark the order as a gift, i.e. buy off a wishlist, it won't be added to your library

except those poor slobs who have to login to the office and it's wtf slow
Is a strike an accusation of copyright infringement? Or does it need to be proven?

It all depends on the incentive.
We'll start using encrypted apps instead of SMS
Please try again later.
