    yeah this is going to be interesting to see how twitch will handle this one, google should be able to offer the exact same level of service or better from day 0

    Actually Youtube may have better infrastructure, on a basis of having so much more capital. Last I heard, Twitch was still netting 20million$ investors, a far cry from Google's numbers. Since the individual clients use a third-party program to connect to the streaming servers (OpenBroadcaster being extremely suitable), all Youtube needs to offer are good server connections - they won't need to code a high quality front end.
