I am an IT Professional. It took time to list all of my skills on one resume. I now have my resume posted on only two websites. Why? Because I have NEVER performed a job search out of a 15 mile raduis from my home. I live in Maryland. The state abbeviation is MD. It is important to mention at this point.
I receive solicitations for jobs in North Dakota, ND; Montana, MO; Delaware, DE; Virginia, VA; Pennsylvania, PA and the like several times a week. What really is painful is that I am contacted from two or three recruiters from the same company. The job offers are for a two or three month duration. Really?
I had issues with ComCast years ago. A former acquaintance got a job there after I ended a relationship with him. He would call me from this ComCast telephone, to discuss the breakup, and I would see ComCast on my caller ID.
I would see the caller ID and think something was going on with my service. It was him. I telephone the company to complain and nothing was done about this. This went on for 3 weeks. I cancelled my ComCast and told my family members. We all have the Dish Network now, for years.
ComCast attempting a monopoly, very scary.
As an unpublished writer, I cannot give an honorable mention to ‘so-called’ editors. In the writing community, it is still very problematic, the criteria for being an editor. It should be beyond proof reading high school term papers for a friend.
DRM extension, help captive, used by Amazon, for its e-books, is NOT, in the long term, in best interest of the consumer. DRM is a strong-armed approach to ‘force’ avid readers to purchase the Kindle, which is just a reader and does not compare with the multifaceted android tablet and its market.
Books purchased for android tablet, from Amazon, does NOT support the text-to-voice feature. This is a decision that Amazon has made. If a consumer wants the text-to-voice feature, then one has to purchase the Kindle. Not a good option for those of us who have to get through very ‘thick’ volumes of technical manuals.
