It is simple to use, sure, but it isn't secure unless you lock your office whenever you leave the room.
The biggest problem with patents like this is that if I was given a couple of free days at work I could implement the same system, as could about a million others. If a client of mine had wanted something like this before Amazon did it, should I be able to patent it? No, I don't think so.
There is a big difference between invention and common sense. 1-Click just bypasses a couple of forms. Big deal!
