I did some research a few years back and found only one company that seemed to have a solid mail solution; Oracle. They seemed to have developed a Mail server (smtp, IMAP, pop3, and LDAP) package that runs on top of they 9i database. Check it out at:http://www.oracle.com/ip/deploy/ias/email/ind ex.ht ml I have tried it out and it seem pretty solid. But definetly not easy to setup. -hope this helps
