All I meant by the "specific structure" and "just so" bits is that the brain is a certain way (I'm partial to mammalian ones with neocortexes), and we can probably learn from that how to create other intelligences. That is, most things about the brain will probably prove to be distractions, but some will be important and helpful. It's sorting things between these two that's tough.
