    When I work on systems at work, I unhide the extensions. It's the way I roll and it's work-necessary.

    Many times, I forget to hide the extensions and the user(s) bitch because, "It's eye clutter."

    I apologize and hide the extensions.

    I don't agree that users need to be educated regarding the significance of file extensions.

    Systems people just need to do their goddam jobs.

    Workers have enough crap to worry about.

    This is dead wrong. Bad advice.

    "Leaking" in this manner is a federal offense.

    The answer is to keep pressing and travel up the chain of command.

    Do not embed any compromising links in an email. Do not use email at all. Emails are discoverable in litigation.

    Use your own telephone. Do not involve your business.

    When you find a person who has a major cow when you tell them what you've found, give an example URL on the phone.

    Check the site now and then for compliance, but do it using someone else's junk. It sounds like you know how to do that.

    Interestingly, there may be no parties of standing except Uber and the hackers. The drivers would have to show damages that have already occurred, and cannot recover for conjectured damages in the future by reason of breach of privacy.

    Good point, but ... ... Manning's shit was mostly political. For that reason, we can assign about a 50% priority to the stuff because there are at least two reactions to that: for or against.

    Snowden's stuff is more provocative, and upsetting, but it's dated.

    What we need is transparency. Looks like the only way that's going to happen is if Americans in the "know," step up.
