I work at the Centre for Wireless Communications at National University of Singapore and I guess out of 250 people or so here almost every one has at least one linux box, some have more and I have the maximum, which is 15!!
So things are good here I guess. Its one place where the tech support knows how to setup printer in linux;)
If you have a Matrox G400/450 card then look out for mplayer
http://mplayer.sourceforge.net/homepage/
It playes all the formats divx, avi, mpeg.... that have the codec in windows.
Even if you don't have G400/450 you would get a decent performance.

Can this card be used to pay on any online merchant's website i.e. is it the same as a credit card number?
Or will it work only on those websites that support this card type.
