Windows is a great OS. What they're whining about is what a pre-alpha test version of the software collects. Test versions always deliver far more telemetry than would a retail release, as they should. Windows 10 right now is not for regular daily use or for consumers. It's purely about evaluation and helping designers test the new OS and improve it.
Nope. First off, Windows 8 is neither slow nor crappy. Second, these run quad core Atom cpu's with 1GB RAM. Microcenter sells a similar tablet for $139, and it's actually pretty damn fast:)
Surface RT, despite now being almost two years old, is a superb choice for students. It's light, thin, has great battery life, includes Microsoft Office, and is immune to viruses. It's study enough to be stood upon and used as a *skateboard*.
Step away from the mindless crowd of anti-MS sheeple. They're living in a 20 year old memory, not in the reality of 2014.
