Most of the assumptions he disproves are ones that are not even valid. For example on one specifically, any programmer worth his salt knows that garbage collection is fairly language independant. It works better with some language syntax than others but it can be put into any language if you want to write the code to do it.
I'd be willing to guess that this guy along with a number of others hate OOP because of the large number of beginner C++ people that think they must use every feature of OOP in every program they write.
It all boils down to this, OOP is another tool in the tool box. You wouldn't use a hammer to tighten a screw, but it certainly does put nails through wood very well.
Where is my evidence?!?! Just watch any so called news show! Here are some examples:
- The Daily Show ripped on GW for 10 minutes while
only giving minor jabs to AG which only lasted the first 30 seconds.
- I happen to have the TV on while The Practice was on last week and they took a jab at GW there.
- The whole issue of Bush being dumb was started by the media. There is no basis for it.
- David Letterman's political monologue (sp?) is 90% about Bush being "dumb"
- Jay Leno "comedy" is just as poor.
- All the news shows either give as much good coverage about Gore as they can , or as much bad coverage to Bush as they can. You will never see a fair comparison of candidates, on any of the top 3 networks(CBS,NBC,ABC) especially.
- As far as fair play goes,
read this article. The FCC is getting into the action. If this doesn't sound the least little bit suspicious, than you are not capable of seeing the obvious.
And as far as lies go, try checking out the ones spewing forth from the hole of Algore. Check the claims of AG, escpecially the things he claimed in the debates. Almost everything he said was lies. He made claims about doing things and being places. When the actual facts were checked, he had never been to those places and never did the things he had claimed. And for once the media reports it and then people like you and CT cliam the media is biased.
I find it ironic that a lot of people on this forum complain about the intrusion of our lives by the government, about censorship and about rights being taken away from us, but it is the liberals that are doing it to us! AND YOU DEFEND THEM!
And as far as CmdrTaco's comments go, give me a break! The media is so biased against Bush its not even funny. You liberals talk about a "right wing conspiracy", I think its more of a left wing conspiracy. Look at all of the media, they have done everything they can to make Bush look bad, even down to the leftist sitcoms the late night shows. iii) If 100 people, or 1000 people, or some such reasonable amount of people open their mouths to yap then actual work
can get done.
Well that is questionable, look at congress, the only thing they ever get done is giving themselves pay increases and shredding The Constitution.
iv) Therefore 300 million people voluntarily surrender their rights to speak by allowing an elected official to speak for them.
That is how it was started, that was the way it had to be done 200 years ago. But with the technology we have now, that could be a different story.
v) If the elected officials doesn't do what you like then TOUGH FUCKING LUCK. Go vote again.
Wow, it amazes me the number of people like you that think this is acceptable. You vote for someone, they claim they stand for certain things, they fold under pressure or money and the you say, oh I guess I'll vote for someone else next time. Meanwhile peoples rights are being taken away.

I am tired of the citizens of this country begging for more government intervention. This country was founded on the idea that it should be ruled by the people. Federal government is supposed to be small and non intrusive. If you like their laws so much why don't you just go and live there, because I sure don't want people like you in this country.
I on the other hand want to live in a country where if I see something I don't like, I can make a change at the local level. I don't want big government comming in and forcing something on me that might not be appropriate.
It amazes me that people like you love this sort of government control, yet you bitch when the governemt monitors us, federal courts makes ruling in favor or the RIAA, and patents are allowed for one click shopping.
