Actually, you make some good points. Not that God is a hypothesis, but that it is impossible to use empirical data to prove or disprove God. He says Himself that " I AM that I AM." How can you prove that someone was there before the origin of the universe? You can't. On one hand, He spoke the universe into existence (again not provable that that is how it happened by empirical data alone) and yet, on the other hand, we have before us the full array of subatomic particles to the multigalactic universe and everything in between including living and nonliving things that somehow work together in mathematical improbability (based on diversity). 13 billion years is not even close to the time it would take for the first random combination of atoms into a molecule (assuming an infinite universe). There are so many assumptions we have to make to come up with the hypothesis that we evolved from something that had to exist at some point that it actually takes more faith to believe that science will be able to prove our origin than it does to believe in a supernatural origin. Doesn't it seem rather odd that we as scientists can embrace the concept of an infinitely large universe (which is immeasurable and unprovable by the way) and reject the historical fact of the infinitely supreme and supernatural creator Jehovah? Since the supernatural cannot be proven by natural means or empirical evidence, then it can only mean that science will never be enough to figure everything out. Science, by its very nature, excludes the supernatural and can therefore never be trusted as the only way to prove our origin. Besides, trying to figure out our origin is actually a total waste of time. That part was already done for us. It is really a wheel that does not need to be reinvented. Let's look forward and do good things with the gifts and knowledge God gave us!
After reading everyone trying to swat at gnats with double and triple negatives and using absurd examples to disprove each others' theories, there still is only one undeniable fact: "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth . . . and all that is in them". There are thousands of scientists - modern day and former - who use this as the basis for understanding the origin of life. Trying to understand the origin of life as chemical and/or informational is missing the "El-ephant" in the room. (Proverbs 1:29, 2:6, 8:9; 9:10)

Only to those who refuse to see the evidence around them (Romans 1:19-20).
