    It's called a linux distribution. The *nix way... vi, tail, grep, cat, etc... The m$ way--WORD.

    One of my professors here at the U. of Oklahoma was telling us about the great times from last year's competition. The best part were the Japanese. They were always dressed in spotless white uniforms. Never got dirty. Plus they were fierce competitors. They were dogging the team the entire way, so one night when both teams were camping out together and had a little friendly fireside chat. And copious amounts of alcohol courtesy of the Americans. Well, let's just say the Japanese weren't such a problem the next day. A little American intuition and some big American bellies won the day. :)

    Forte is great--I love the editor especially. All the bracket and parenthesis matching, auto smart indention, keyword highlighting, code completion, argument reminders, etc... Unfortunately the entire thing is done in swing and is major bloatware. Swing is a major heiffer.

    Makes a great timer for popcorn. Put a bag in the microwave as it starts, four minutes later you have perfectly-popped kernels.

    And MacOS(X) is essentially Unix. People run apache on it. I guess that makes it a server system as well. There is a lot of gray area.

    Where would such a groundbreaking project come from? Well uhhhhh MIT of course! Mit is just a no brainer choice. Had he said something random like Oklahoma U or Wisconsin or something, it may have sounded more believeable. MIT is just TOO obvious it sounds fake.

    actually there are chemical hair removers... Just not widespread. You'll normally find them on infomercials though.
