We use Cisco IP phones with the Cisco Callmanager and have had little problems (The callmanager crashed once Win2k what do you expect). We are now working on putting the phones on a separate vlan from our boxen. VoIP still has a way to go but what we have is very usable.
I work for a "dot.com" in the midwest and we are in Chapter 11 and things don't look good. The job market in Louisville is tight too. Hopefully the histeria caused by the recent slide on the Stock Market and the economy in general dies down soon.
